Charles Arnett Underwood

Charles Arnett Underwood, born July 1, 1955, to Shirley M. Underwood and Charles W. Darby. Charles was born in Harlem NY at Harlem Hospital. Charles graduated from Central Commercial H.S. in 1973. He obtained an A.S. degree from Bronx Community College and he later attended SUNY Brockport College, in Brockport, New York.

Charles worked with the United States Post Office for 17 years. Charles loved to party at the “Garage.” After his nights of partying, Charles would come home and make his favorite dish “Goulash” (Whatever was in the kitchen thrown together). Everyone loved Charles with his easy and intelligent demeanor. Charles loved the music of Earth Wind & Fire, The Ohio Players and other outstanding artist of the 70’s & 80’s. Charles was also an avid reader of Marvel Comics and history.

Charles leaves behind his mother, Shirly Mae Underwood, Sister, Dr. Karen Underwood, Brother, Melvin Underwood, Sister, Brenda Underwood, Brother, Kendall Sidberry, Nieces & Nephews, Kuyhana, Malik, Monique, David, Lauren, Owen, Ayanna, and Atalia as well as a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, his favorite aunt and a group of extended family and friends.

Charles passed on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
