THE LIFE OF ESTEBAN
Esteban De Vega, known to some as "Sunny & Esty", died at the age of 40 on April 10, 2022, with his family by his side.
He was born May 22, 1981, in the Bronx to Margarita & Jose Vega. Servants of Jehovah who instilled qualities in all their children and is evident in the music and poetry Esteban enjoyed making. He loved everyone without judgment and even though you were not blood, he made you family. He was known as "SunnyBoy" because he always tried to be positive and stay in the light. Esteban's words "There's too much darkness in this world, I wanna be different." Although he took a different path his heart was always full of love and appreciation for his family and friends, but most of all Jehovah. Esteban believed in the hope Jehovah holds out at Job 14:14-15 "If a man dies, can he live again? You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands."
Esteban loved his family especially his nieces and nephews and was always in the kitchen making his "special fluffy pancakes" for them. He loved writing and rhyming his lyrics and poetry. Esteban loved the truth.
Esteban is survived by his parents Jose and Margarita Vega, brother, Edmund, sisters, Myra, Bianca & Veronica; 4 nephews , Sam, Donavyn, Elvis (EJ) & Ermyis, 6 nieces, Destiney, Angelica, Mariel, Jianna, Emary & Serenity. HIs wife Maggie and step daughters, Emma, Keila & Angelina.
