Mary González-Santiago

Mary González-Santiago, a remarkable woman who left her mark in the lives of those who knew her, passed away on July 25, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on July 4, 1947, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Mary was beloved by her family and friends.

Mary most recently resided in Medford, NY, where she enjoyed her favorite hobbies, such as shopping. She had a passion for indulging in coffee from Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, particularly the Caramel Macchiato. Mary's taste buds also found joy in savoring Pernil with arroz con gandules.

A lover of music, Mary found solace and inspiration in the sounds of Cece Winnans, Mercy Me, and Gospel Music. Her favorite TV shows included "Chicago PD," "Chicago Fire," "Criminal Minds," "SVU," and the ultimate favorite, "Blue Bloods," starring Tom Selleck.

When it came to sports, Mary enjoyed watching Baseball, specifically the Boston Red Sox, Football, supporting the New England Patriots, and Basketball, with a soft spot for the Boston Celtics.

Mary attended Boston University, and although widowed, her true joy in life came from being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She cherished the moments spent together and had a contagious smile that would light up any room.

Survived by her brother Marcelo González and sister Juana Iris Sola, Mary's presence will be deeply missed. Her beautiful smile and positive energy impacted the lives of many, leaving an indelible imprint on their souls.

Mary González-Santiago will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her warmth, love, and the joy she brought to those around her.
