In Loving Memory of Tony DeLeon
Tony DeLeon, born July 25, 1964, in Manhattan, New York, was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He departed this life on the morning of January 29, 2026, at his home in the Bronx, NY, surrounded by his children and his younger brother, George. Tony leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. As one of seven children, he was shaped by a lively household filled with family, laughter, and loyalty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isabel Ibarra and Antonio DeLeon—whose influence and love stayed with him throughout his life—and by his brother, Fundador (Pito) Alamo.
Tony was a man of many passions. He found peace on the water with a fishing pole in hand, where the quiet moments meant as much as the catch. He had a lifelong fascination with the Wild West — its stories, its spirit, and its rugged sense of adventure. He also had a unique love for collectibles, especially those inspired by classic horror movies. His collection reflected not only his appreciation for these movies but also his eye for detail and the joy he found in preserving pieces of film history.
Above all, Tony’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his children—Anthony, Christine, Christopher, Brandon, Cody, Caroline, and his bonus daughters, Melody and Kim—each carrying forward his strength, humor, and unwavering devotion. His playful expressions of “whatchamacalit” and “Oh, wake me” will be fondly remembered, as will his love of Malta, a treat he enjoyed with ice cream alongside Tita and Angelo. He was a devoted grandfather to Jonalisse, Jacob, Stella, and Leon, who brought him endless joy. Tony is also survived by his loving siblings: Milagros (Millie) Guerrero, Gina (Cookie) Alamo, Angelo DeLeon, Isabel (Tita) Garcia, and George Figueroa.
Tony will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to keeping loved ones close. He worked tirelessly as a truck driver, doorman, and porter, providing for his children and exemplifying the value of perseverance. His warmth, steady presence, and genuine kindness made everyone feel welcome in his company. To know Tony was to love him, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he gave so freely.
